Then you will receive a new suspension date that starts on the day you arrange the extension, plus the suspension period you chose (1, 2 or 3 years).
Yes, if your vehicle is suspended, you can cancel its insurance. During the suspension period, you do not need to insure the vehicle, pay motor vehicle tax, and the MOT inspection is also not mandatory. It is important to contact your insurer immediately after starting the suspension to cancel the insurance. Do not forget that you are not allowed on public roads with a suspended vehicle. When the suspension period expires or when you end the suspension, you must insure the vehicle again and comply with the other obligations.
